International passengers departing from Seychelles will be able to submit boarding information digitally as they prepare to depart from November 2, the Interior Ministry announced on Monday.

Seychelles citizens and permit holders commencing their journey from Seychelles will need to log in to the website: https://seychelles.govtas.com or download the app”Seychelles Electronic Border” from the App Store or Google Play and fill in the information requested in the declaration.

According to the statement “upon returning to the country, citizens and permit holders will only need to fill in their flight details, negative PCR test result, if any, health and customs information, as the The app would already have their personal data should they used the app to complete their boarding information form. An automatic acknowledgment of receipt of the declaration will follow.”

“Citizens commencing their journey from outside Seychelles would have already had their details entered when completing the disembarkation information form through the app, eliminating the need to provide the same on departure,” adds the communicated.

The Ministry of Interior said that bringing this declaration process online represents the determination of the Seychelles air transport and border control authorities to use digital applications to improve the experience of travelers.

The development comes just over a year after the western Indian Ocean island nation introduced paperless disembarkation information, which inbound passengers can submit from the comfort of their homes.

In August last year, Seychelles announced the rollout of paperless entry for international arrivals to Seychelles.
