Love Island stars and their adorable dogs, including Amber Davies’ “son” Oreo
Love isn’t just found in a chic Mallorca villa, it can also come in the form of a four-legged friend.
And with Love Island back on our screens on Monday June 28 on ITV2, Team Dogs reviewed former applicants who have adorable doggy buddies.
Here are 11 former Love Islanders who have the most gorgeous dogs:
Kady described her adorable micro-pom Cody as “the love of her life” on Instagram. The four-year-old dog ended up in intensive care for eight days in 2018 after his trachea collapsed.
In a post celebrating her third birthday, Kady said, “This little bundle of soft toys is the love of my life and my best friend. He’s always there for a hug through my ups and downs and has been my right arm for the past three years. I would be so, so lost without him.
While Dani Dyer doesn’t have a dog of her own, she has taken on the role of babysitter for her father – EastEnders actor Danny Dyer’s dog, Gypsy.
Dani was seen cuddling the British Bulldog merle puppy in an article in November 2019, where she said, “I’ve never been a person who loves animals over humans or anything like that. (No offense to anyone who does) I have always been very busy or active to really enjoy and spend time with a dog.
“But for some reason, I just fell so much in love with little baby Gypsy.”
Kem and his breed of bull Rocky are like two peas in a pod, and the former Islander always posts photos of his dog.
During the pandemic, many pet owners found solace in the solitude of their pets – and Kem was among them.
Posting on Instagram, he wrote: “We had our fair share of arguments, but I couldn’t have done the lockdown without you Rocky.”
Rocky has been with Kem through thick and thin. The dog’s gorgeous face was Kem’s very first Instagram post in March 2014, over seven years ago.
In December 2019, Amber shared an adorable photo of a new puppy with the caption, “I always knew my firstborn would be a furry one. Meet my new son, Oreo “
The one-year-old Jackapoo is a poodle crossed with a Jack Russell terrier, and comically has a floppy ear and one that stands upright!
The puppy is in the spotlight, just like his mother, with his own Instagram account with more than 5,500 followers. Oreo also made an appearance on the ITV show Olivia Meets Her Match in December 2020.
Olivia and Alex Bowen
Love Island couple Olivia and Alex Bowen share their home in Essex with their two French Bulldogs Winnie and Reggie, who frequently appear on their Instagram page – even helping the couple with their crafts and decorating!
The couple came second on Love Island in 2016, getting engaged the following year. In 2017, Alex appeared in an episode of Say Yes To The Dress, and they tied the knot in September 2018 in Essex.

Amber Rose Gill
Obi the spaniel was Amber’s very first Instagram post in April 2015 and has featured in photos regularly since.
Amber recently posted a photo of five-year-old Obi in January 2020 with the caption: “He doesn’t say much but I don’t mind.”
When she left the Love Island villa to return home in 2019, Amber posted a video on her Instagram Stories showing Obi covering her with kisses during a tearful reunion.
Love Island Series 1 winner Jess Hayes is mom to Prince Pablo the Pomeranian, who also has his own Instagram account, with 882 followers.
The dog is almost three years old and often finds himself in Jess’s arms for an Insta photo.
Pablo is the best friend of Jess’ son, Presley James, and the couple are often associated.
In a post, Jess wrote: “Name a better duo.”
Cally Jane Beech
Cally is the proud owner of a cockapoo called Dennis. Although he’s not featured in many photos, it’s clear he found a longtime friend in Cally’s daughter Vienna.
The former dental nurse has had dogs for a number of years, previously owning a Bichon Frize and Shih Tzu-cross poodle.
Brother of soap stars Adam and Ryan Thomas, Scott dated Kady McDermott on Love Island in 2016.
The former club promoter now has his own PR firm – as well as a gorgeous doberman called Juno.
Introducing the puppy to his 900,000 fans, Scott said, “Ever since I was a kid I’ve always wanted my own dog and have been thinking about it for so long. Sometimes you just have to ask yourself what are you really expecting. Life is far too short. I feel like with my new lifestyle I am now able to have a good home.
“So on that note, meet my new baby Doberman Juno.”
Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt
Camilla and Jamie have been together since meeting on Love Island in 2017, having had a baby – Nell – in 2020.
The duo have two French Bulldogs named Audrey and Gus, and Audrey’s favorite place during Camilla’s pregnancy was right on the baby bump!
The protective dog was typed in a photo captioned: “Audrey performing her babysitting duties”
The cute snap has racked up over 100,800 likes – but Camilla has yet to post a photo of the full family of five!
The man with the right leg of Jack Fincham is a black Cane Corso called Elvis – but the reality TV star was quickly criticized for the dog’s cropped ears. Although this is an illegal practice in the UK, Jack revealed that Elvis was imported from Russia by Protection Dogs WorldWide.
Posting a photo of himself with Elvis, he said, “This boy couldn’t have come at a better time for me. He has helped me in so many ways. My partner in crime. Elvis the King.
Jack also owns a British Bulldog named Sandy, which he bought along with his former Love Islander partner and colleague Dani Dyer.
