Genshin Island Impact Tsurumi: How to get there
Wondering how to get to Tsurumi Island in Genshin Impact? A new island isn’t the only addition with the 2.2 update—If you check your in-game mail, you should find Aloy, the new five-star Cryo archer. And, of course, the Farewell to Snezhnaya banner is also back, giving you the chance to wish Child (Tartaglia) if you’ve missed it before.
Tsurumi is the last of the Inazuma Islands. It’s located southeast of Seirai Island, and if you’ve tried to get there via Windrider, you probably haven’t had much success thanks to the haze that has set in there. With that in mind, here’s how to complete the Genshin Impact Tsurumi Island fog puzzle.
New Genshin Impact Island: how to get there
While it’s possible to use a Windrider to reach the island, you’re going to be in trouble if you try to explore the area, thanks to the ever-thicker fog that teleports you if you stay there too long.
First of all, you must head to Inazuma City and start the quest of the world Through the Mist. If you can’t find it in your quest log, make sure you’ve completed the Storm chasers Seirai world quest on Seirai Island first. After talking to Katheryne at the Adventurers Guild, you will need to talk to Sumida and then find Kama in Ritou. Once you talk to them, you will be teleported to Tsurumi Island.
Once you get there, you will find that the haze is still an obstacle. Lanterns can help you explore, and staying close to them will keep you from getting lost. White lanterns will keep you safe, and those with a purple glow can be activated by hitting them with an Electro ability.
Genshin Impact Tsurumi Island Fog Puzzle: How to Find Feathers
Once you reach the island, you will need to locate Ruu. It’s marked on the map, but be sure to use the lanterns to guide you once you get to areas with thicker fog.
When you finally reach it – and after a bit of chatter – you’ll need to interact with the Great Thunderbird’s perch, a tree nearby. Three orbs will fly off the tree, and these are the feathers you will need to collect. They are marked on the minimap and nearby, so they should be easy to find. Once you have them, interact with the tree again to clear the haze from the immediate area.
Once done, head to the ceremony site, marked on the map. Then your task is to visit three other perches to make offerings. The locations for these are (or check out the map above):
- Plains of Autake
- Pic Shirikoro
- Chirai shrine
As these areas are shrouded in mist, you will need to use the lanterns to help you reach them and watch out for enemies. Again, interact with the pole at each location, then collect the feathers and make the offering. Each time you do this, the mist will dissipate from the area.
The tree is located on top of a rocky outcrop at the northwest corner of the small island where the sanctuary is located. You’ll find Ruu and his friend here, so talk to them before you interact with the tree.
Feathers are marked on your minimap as they were before, but they can be hard to find. The first feather is south of the perch, inside a square hole in the ground. Exit the hole and head slightly south, past the wall. You should see the second feather shining to your right (west). Enemies will appear when you try to interact with him, so be prepared.
The third feather is located near the roost. When you try to interact with it, it floats. Use the nearby phase gate to reach it. He will escape you again, but when he lands, interact with him and return to the perch.
Plains of Autake
The pole here is really easy to spot from the nearby waypoint. When you get close to it enemies will spawn, so deal with them before talking to Ruu and interacting with the tree.
The first feather is on the ground, just north of the perch. Enemies will spawn when you fall, so fight them off before interacting with the feather. The second feather is just east of the perch, near more enemies – you’ll need to use the nearby Electrogranum to access it. The third feather is at the top of the hut south of the perch. Once you’ve collected them all, interact with the tree.
This perch is in a cave at the foot of the mountain. You can see the entrance from the nearby waypoint. Talk to Ruu again and interact with the tree. You will need to drain the water from the area below to get these feathers. Find the three Seelies nearby and direct them to the three pedestals next to the perch. Once all three are in place, the water will drain.
Go down to the area that has now been drained. You can retrieve the first feather here, but the others will fly away. There are more enemies here, so take on them before you move on.
To get the second feather, pick up the relay stones here and line them up so that they are connected to the two crystals on either side. This will bring up a chest and allow you to use the switch here to open the circular door. Deal with the enemy on the other side, then approach the third feather to see it fly out through another circular door.
You will now need to find three Seelies – one is hidden behind a breakable wall southwest of the door if you are having trouble finding it. Once all three are in place, water will drain from the area below. You will now need to use the Relay Crystals to send beams to the crystals near the door. Another chest will appear and you can use the switch here. Pass to grab the third feather.
