This photo story was meant as a story board for a short film, we are planning to shoot about a guy secretly planting trees on traffic islands and then years later a girl foraging fruit from the tree, that he planted. There story continued on another traffic island http://islandsofla.org/wp/?p=4976

I had scoped out the locations on this site and saw, that the traffic island has a street light on it, that I was planning to use for the shoot. As we got there, we realized it’s the only damn street light that’s not working. So I parked my car in a way to use the headlights for the shoot. It worked beautifully, but after only 10 minutes of shooting, my car woulddn’t start any more. Stuck in a traffic islands in the middle of the night in an industrial area with stray dogs coming closer and closer. Thank god for AAA, who came 1 hr later.
