This island is located in Glassell Park, which is part of North East LA, and is one of the largest islands in Los Angeles. Occasionally, people use this island for a picnic or to toss a frisbee or kick around a soccer. It is surrounded by a mixture of homes and an old warehouse building, which used to have sewing shops and business. Over the last few years, as the demographics of the neighborhood have changed, the building tenants have shifted. Currently, there are various alternative gallery spaces and studios.
